Gabi Meek

GABI MEEK IS A KOORI WOMAN WITH CONNECTIONS TO THE HANNAH AND ROY FAMILIES FROM THE COOLAH AREA OF NEW SOUTH WALES.

In 2018, Gabi graduated from the Australian National University with a flexible double degree in international relations and development studies.

She began her professional career in biodiversity conservation, implementing Aboriginal engagement plans and incorporating cultural values into environmental policy and programs.

She applied these skills in both public and not-for- profit contexts, before moving into the cultural design space. In her role as project and Indigenous engagement coordinator, Gabi loves spending time with community, thinking creatively and caring for Country. She is passionate about giving back to Country, ensuring built environments foster habitat for kin and culture for generations to come.
