We were very proud to be involved in designing the poster for the acclaimed film, The Australian Dream.
This was a special project for Balarinji. Our founders have known Adam Goodes since he came to Sydney to start his AFL career as a 19 year-old, and they watched with enormous pride as he excelled at the top of the sport.
The way his career ended was appalling and sad, and it is important we now have authentic storytelling of this film. It is vital Indigenous people tell their own stories in their own words.
The artwork in the poster was created by Adam’s mother, artist Lisa Sansbury. Lisa’s painting was great to work with and her artwork adds a very personal touch to this dramatic poster.
